Company Profile

Ogilvie Financial Solutions Ltd was set up in September 2014.

Peter is the sole financial adviser and has been in the Insurance and Investment industry since July 1999.

Ogilvie Financial Solutions Ltd has developed a strong rapport and trust throughout the community, dealing with families and both business and rural clientele.

Taking a personal approach, Peter typically holds face-to-face meetings with each client and provides a personalised written insurance report for each client. In some situations, an interview is conducted over the phone and followed up by email. 

Ogilvie Financial Solutions Ltd has contracts with the top Insurance companies & uses independent market research to offer the best insurance solutions based on your Insurance requirements. It is backed up by full administration support and the strength of the Plus4 Insurance Solutions Group.

Peter is available to meet clients at his home office in Richmond, or at a mutually agreed location.

As an AFA, he is happy to help clients who need other financial advice by referring to industry specialists with Investment products, Fire & General products and Estate Planning.

Personal Interests

Peter has lived in the Tasman region for most of his life and, over the years has represented Nelson in rugby, cricket, tennis and touch rugby. An enthusiastic sportsman, these days he enjoys competitive road cycling, tennis and a round of golf when time permits.

He enjoys quality time with his partner and two daughters and keenly follows their academic, sporting and early adulthood progress.

When not working, Peter likes to relax with family and friends. His favourite holiday destination is Melbourne, which is not surprising given Peter’s sporting background.

Charities we support

The Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter operates a fantastic service that I hope I won’t need, but it will be there for others.
In 2018 & 2019 I rode one of my bikes 50 km every day for a month raising funds for the Helicopter Trust.
As a small business we also support other charities as applicable.
Over the last 12 months we have supported CanTeen, Nelson Tasman Hospice, Heart Foundation, Shave for a cure and Breast Cancer Foundation NZ Ltd, and individuals as applicable.
