Working in the Insurance industry has yielded many great relationships over the years. Sometimes I’m contacted by my clients, or their family members when they are not well, injured or worse. Having the right Insurance Plan becomes very important in times of crisis. I can personally assist them with the insurance claim process when needed – this has been a lifesaver for many.

I am part of a thriving community group (BNI), of local business owners who meet every week to pass on business industry information and referrals to each other. There are thousands of members and chapters worldwide. There are 3 chapters in Nelson, that are aligned with our local Hospice. The Nelson Tasman Hospice has a new facility of which we have had the grand tour and have held our BNI meetings from their new conference room.

Our BNI group likes to have fun and assist our local Hospice, recently each member had to purchase some clothes from the local Hospice Opshop and wear them to a social gathering. A bit of fun for a good cause! As a result, we raised $368 of which 100% goes to the Hospice. The Nelson Tasman Hospice relies on donations to operate palliative care and home care for hundreds of locals and families in our region.

We are always looking for visitors to attend our BNI meetings, you will enjoy a complimentary cooked breakfast at The Rutherford Hotel, learn something new and meet some great people.
